I gave it a scotchbrite working finish so you won’t be afraid to actually use it (because that’s what it’s made for).
Up front, there’s a satin-finished brass bolster that adds a touch of classic elegance while balancing the blade just right. And the handle? Some killer Curly Cottonwood that brings the whole piece to life with rich figure and warm tones that only get better with time.

Inspired by an original Camillus USMC KaBar fighting knife, this build pays tribute to one of the most recognizable military knife patterns ever produced.
The blade is forged from Baker Forge and Tool Damascus, creating bold, flowing pattern work throughout while maintaining the rugged character expected from a fighting knife. The copper guard provides a handcrafted contrast to the blade, while the satin-finished surfaces and polished edges add subtle detail without taking away from the overall design.
The handle stays true to the classic KaBar style, featuring stacked leather dyed black and shaped for a comfortable, secure grip. Finishing out the build is a poured copper ingot pommel secured with a hidden copper pin. The pommel and guard share a satin finish with polished rims, tying the entire piece together from blade to butt.
A modern take on a timeless military classic, combining traditional materials, American knife-making heritage, and the unmistakable look of Baker Forge and Tool Damascus.
Loveless styled drop hunter forged using a san mai billet made out of W2(core steel) and 1084/15n20(jacketing). Stainless steel guard and fittings, white g10 for the wraparound liners and curly Cottonwood scales.
Each knife is hand-made by Patrick Harp, a self-taught Journeyman Bladesmith with the ABS.
